Ellies story

"Our humble beginnings began with a second-hand burger van that I used to drag around Dumfries and Galloway back in early 2023. Initially, this was supposed to be a part-time venture,  as I was juggling child-care and finishing my degree, but I quickly built up a vast and loyal customer base and I knew almost immediately that this was the start of something brilliant! I enlisted the help of my friends & family and together, we became so busy that we were able to sell the burger van and move into a permanent location, opening up a burger takeaway place in Gretna.

Demand was incredibly high and the kitchen was extremely intense. While I did enjoy it, the fast-paced environment combined with the late hours, really didn't suit my young family at the time. I knew it wouldn't be for me in the long-run"

Our history

"Fast forward to the end of 2025 and I managed to get my hands on this space in Eastriggs and I've been transforming it from the convenience store it always used to be, into my vision; A great place to eat during the day, whether it be casual dining in or food to take away. I'm so proud of the work we've done and still continue to do.

I'm a very lucky lady to say that I really enjoy my job and I get to spend most of my days working with my family and in particular, my young daughter. It's been an intense journey but I've loved every second!"
